About the Course:
Sexual harassment continues to not only tear away at the fabric of trust between employees and employers in the private sector but also law enforcement agencies. Now more than sexual harassment training must be delivered in law enforcement training programs which not only emphasizes a message of zero tolerance but protects the integrity and limits liabilities for all persons who adhere to the standards of maintaining a professional work environment.
Course Objectives:
- Examine Title VII (of the Civil Rights Act of 1964) and how it applies to the Reasonable Person Standard.
- Review relative incidents and six negative impacts of sexual harassment on law enforcement culture.
- List the procedures for filing a charge of sexual harassment with federal, state and local governing authorities.
- Review steps in a Code of Conduct for sexual harassment prevention.
